Romania is a republic in Eastern Europe. It has a population of 19.9 million people and its capital is Bucharest. The official language is Romanian and widely spoken foreign languages are Hungarian and Romany. Romania has a GDP of €159.8 billion, which represents a GDP per capita of €8,000 in 2015.

In 2015, the Romanian B2C ecommerce turnover grew by 24.2% to €1.5 billion. Romania had an online population of 10.5 million of people who were aged 15 and older.

Of the total online population, 1.9 million bought something online in 2015. The average spending per eShopper was €786 in this year.
