With online business-to-business ecommerce projections far surpassing business-to-consumer, it is impossible to ignore the opportunities of B2B ecommerce. Yet up until now, little attention has been given to this channel.
Since business buyers are also online consumers “After-Hours”, they are demanding more from their B2B online purchasing experience. Although B2B online selling has evolved, little emphasis has been placed on optimizing the B2B ecommerce model to match B2C expectations. It is now time to take the lessons learned from the B2C world and apply them to B2B.
